30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 6
So today’s topic is Someone Who Fascinates You And Why. As you may have noticed, I have a thing for Jeremy Renner. Celebrity crushes are fun. The chance of ever actually meeting them, outside of cons and photo ops, is pretty slim. Unless you’re a Victoria’s Secret model in which case you can have whoever the !*&@ you want. Gee, lucky me – I don’t have that problem.
I can’t really say why I have such a fascinated thing for Jeremy Renner. I remember seeing him in a movie about Jeffrey Dahmer a long time ago. He played Dahmer. Saw him in several TV show episodes. He played a really evil vampire on Angel. Then I remember seeing him again in The Hurt Locker, at the Oscars when The Hurt Locker was nominated for several awards, then the Avengers, the Bourne Legacy, Hansel and Gretel, Kill The Messenger…
Up through the Hurt Locker, he was still a struggling, broke actor renovating houses and flipping them. He knows what it’s like to work hard and reap the rewards. He’s absolutely dedicated to his daughter, and seriously – what is sexier than an awesome, dedicated dad? I enjoyed watching his performances from somewhere in the 90’s up through today. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. How many A list actors go to these cons full of fanatical geeky fanboys/fangirls, sit in panels to answer some of the stupidest questions I have ever heard, then pose for pics with hundreds of these people (yes, including me)?!
So I will continue to escape to my little fantasy world where Jeremy is equally fascinated by me. We’ll have a beautiful wedding planned by David Tutera. I’ll walk down the aisle to Shinedown’s If You Only Knew and then our first dance will be to Zayn Malik’s Pillowtalk. I will love his daughter like she was my own and the pesky psycho ex-wife will be deported to Canada and never darken our doorstep again (Shut up, it’s my fantasy). And he won’t give up on me because I’m an anxiety-ridden, neurotic introvert who doesn’t open up easily and sucks at all the intimacy stuff. Because, you know, I’m totally worth it 😉
Meanwhile, today is the official Captain America: Civil War release day (it was filmed here in Atlanta!). Jeremy and the rest of the cast have been making the talk show rounds. Click below to enjoy his interview on Live! With Kelly & Michael. See y’all tomorrow!
